This new cover is for the KXPD port on the front of both the KX2 and the KX3 Radio. This cover is laser cut aluminum and powder coated to match the side panels.
• Allen Socket head screws that can be finger tightened for transport and then removed again by hand for field use of the port.

My SideKX equipped KX3 has travelled in my carryon bag on multiple trips in the USA as well as to Australia and Europe -the newer KX2 so far only in the USA. When travelling, I remove the KXPD paddle and use Scott’s port cover to successfully prevent contamination of the port. It is a very useful accessory for both the KX2 and KX3 not only for travelling but also to protect the port for those who do not use or attach a paddle.
